Preparation

This section covers the preparation of the animal for the experiment and includes:

• anaesthetisation (which anaesthetic, how it is administered, and how to test for depth of anaesthesia);
• cannulation of the trachea, jugular vein and carotid artery;
• maintenance of body temperature.
