Conducting an Experiment and taking Measurements

In each experiment there is a variable which may be controlled using buttons on the screen display. For example in the stimulus-strength response experiment voltage buttons on the stimulator allow you to select different stimulus voltages. Clicking the stimulate button will bring up an appropriate response.

Clicking the stimulate button a second time produces a second muscle contraction which will be superimposed on the screen. If you wish to view single responses there is a CLEAR screen facility which will clear the graticuled screen. In most experiments you are required to measure the amplitude of the contraction. For convenience the vertical scale has been calibrated as a tension scale (g).
