Thrombin Time (TT)

1. Add 0.1ml of 0.9% saline to a 75x10mm tube.
2. Add 0.1ml of plasma and warm in a water bath at 37°C.
3. Add 0.1ml of thrombin. Mix quickly and record the time to clot formation. Normal TT: 10 - 12 seconds.

The patient plasma sample is tested at the same time as a control sample and the results compared.
