The experiments we have chosen are:

• control (no water loading)
• water loading
• water loading plus administration of a diuretic

Aims

• To present data for urine output of water and electrolytes in humans under control conditions (no water loading).
• To investigate the effects of water loading on plasma electrolyte concentrations and urine output of water and electrolytes.
• To investigate the effects of four diuretics.
