The 11th Congress of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health, The Hague, Netherlands, 19-22 May, 2010

The theme of this congress was "culture, communication, contraception". The Department of Reproductive Health and Research provided support to several sessions, including a workshop on WHO documents and guidelines on family planning (organized by the WHO Regional Office for Europe), a session entitled "Société Francophone de Contraception", and one on "Male Fertility Control: where are we?"

For the first time at this congress, WHO organized a display booth. The WHO Department of Reproductive Health and Research and the Regional Office for Europe used the booth to disseminate their documents. The booth proved to be very popular. The documents "Medical eligibility criteria for contraceptive use", the "Selected practice recommendations for contraceptive use", the Medical eligibility criteria wheel, and "The WHO Reproductive Health Library" (RHL) were most in demand.
