Velaphi S
Sithembiso Velaphi is Head of the Neonatal Unit at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Johannesburg, South Africa. He obtained his MBChB degree from the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa, and his MMed degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. His medical qualifications include a Fellowship in Neonatology, which he did at Southwestern Medical Center, University of Texas, Dallas, TX, USA. Dr Velaphi's special interest include neonatal survival and reducing neonatal mortality and infections rates.
