Liliana Pellegrini and Yanina Sguassero
Liliana Pellegrini is a paediatrician and neonatologist. She has been working for the last 30 years at Maternidad Martin, Rosario, Argentina, which became a Baby Friendly Hospital in 1996. She is a breastfeeding counsellor and IBLCE International Lactation Consultant. Dr. Pellegrini’s main area of interest includes research and education on breastfeeding. She has also led and coordinated several WHO/UNICEF courses on breastfeeding counselling at a national level.
Dr. Yanina Sguassero is a paediatrician from Argentina. She has completed her postgraduate studies in neonatology and fetal medicine. She is currently working as a researcher at the Centro Rosarino de Estudios Perinatales (CREP), Rosario, Argentina. Dr. Sguassero’s areas of interest include evidence-based child health care and systematic reviews on nutritional and non-nutritional interventions aimed at improving child growth in the developing world. Dr. Sguassero has participated in WHO/Pan American Health Organization projects related to the practical implementation of the New WHO Growth Standards for preschool children. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Cochrane Child Health Field since March 2005.
