Hassan E.O.
E.O. Hassan, MD, is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mansoura University, El Mansoura, Egypt. He is also Executive Director of the Egyptian Fertility Care Foundation, Cairo, Egypt, which has been providing technical assistance to the Egyptian Family Planning Program since its inception and which coordinates many multicentre research projects in the fields of reproductive health in general and contraceptive technology in particular. The multicentre research conducted at the Egyptian Fertility Care Foundation has included many pre-introductory studies which helped to introduce new contraceptives into the Egyptian Family Planning Program. The Foundation has collaborated with many International Organizations including WHO, UNFPA, the Population Council, Family Health International, among others. Dr Hassan is a member of the WHO working group that prepared and updated the four cornerstones of WHO's family planning guidance.
