Mary Lyn Gaffield
Mary Lyn Gaffield is an epidemiologist who received her doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NA, USA. Dr. Gaffield is currently assigned as Scientist at WHO's Department of Reproductive Health in Geneva, Switzerland. She has served as an epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA, USA, conducting maternal and child health, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV surveillance activities. Also, she has taught several courses on epidemiology methods at Project RETRO-CI in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. Her research interests include contraceptive safety in women with medical conditions, implementation of family planning services among postpartum women, and methodology for developing guidelines.
