Edgar Kestler
Edgar Kestler is a perinatal obstetrician. He is Director, Epidemiological Research Center in Sexual and Reproductive Health (CIESAR), Guatemala City, Guatemala - a WHO Collaborative Centre in Sexual and Reproductive Health. He received his Master's degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, United kingdom. His main interest is in problems related to maternal mortality in developing countries. He is in charge of the Central American Committee for Maternal Mortality and is the coordinator for the Save the Mothers Fund USA-Central America Project in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
