BG Lindeque, MBChB, MMed (Obstetrics/Gynaecology), FCOG(SA), MD, is Professor and Head, Department Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa. He is also: President, South African Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists; and President, South African Society of Gynaecologic Oncology. He received fellowships in oncology at Gateshead, United Kingdom, and Stellenbosch, South Africa. His department's research priorities in gynaecologic oncology include: HIV and HPV/CIN; surgical aspects of care for cancers of the cervix, endometrium, ovary and vulva; genetics and gynaecologic cancers; and gestational trophoblastic disorders.
