Coceka Nandipha Mnyani
Coceka Nandipha Mnyani is Director of Women’s Health at the Perinatal HIV Research Unit, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He received his MBChB degree from the University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa, in 1998, and in 2006 he was awarded with the Fellowship of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FCOG) of South Africa. Dr Mnyani was selected as a new investigator in the IMPAACT New Investigator Mentorship Program in April 2009, and he is currently involved in a study evaluating a prevention of mother-to-child transmission programme in Soweto, South Africa, since the introduction of dual therapy. He is also involved in another study in Soweto that is looking at HIV risk factors and prevalence among older women.
