OVERVIEW OF THE MODULE
This module provides the student with the opportunity to utilize advanced knowledge, skills and appropriate attitudes related to adolescence to enable them to critically analyze adolescent issues, to ensure quality improvement in the desired state of general and required adolescent health, based on current research findings. 

 HOW TO USE THE MODULE
As you are using this module, you are expected to do the following:
I. Read widely the content area under each unit utilizing books, journals, internet.
II. Consult widely on each topic including collaboration with colleagues
III. Do all activities for each unit in the order in which they are presented
IV. Keep notes from readings, presentations, or activity work in a file as these can come in handy for revision for projects and examinations
V. Participate actively in class and seminar presentations.

MODULE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this unit, learners shall be able to:
a) Analyze the development process during the three stages of adolescence.

b) Review selected theories that explain adolescent growth and development. 

c) Explore the concept of risk and risk-taking during adolescence and its implications on health and health seeking behaviour;

d) Analyze provider-client interaction that can influence adolescent’s health seeking behaviour.
