Overview of the module
The module is designed to assist learners to critically analyze SRH issues surrounding men and women.  Emphasis is placed on social-cultural, economic, environmental, behavioral and political factors that affect men’s and women’s fertility and reproductive health. The reproductive health topics addressed include: contraception, abortion, reproductive cancers, menopause, sexuality and infertility.

How to use the module
The module has 4 units and there are several activities that you are expected to do. Listed below are the expectations
• Read widely and consult on the content area under each unit  utilizing books , journals  internet, etc
• Complete all activities for each unit in the order in which they are presented
• Consult widely on each topic including collaboration with colleagues

Module learning outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, learners shall be able to:
• Discuss the determinants of women’s and men’s SRH
• Analyze policies, protocols, guidelines and standards influencing women’s and men’s sexual and reproductive health
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the existing SRH services for vulnerable groups.
• Critically analyze the role of family planning programme in population control and sexual reproductive health.
