OVERVIEW OF MODULE
This module covers the processes of planning, developing, designing implementing and evaluation educational curriculum. It prepares graduates for designing, implementing and evaluation nursing and midwifery curriculum for a complex, dynamic, and multicultural health care environment.

To enable learners plan, develop, design, and evaluate nursing and midwifery education curriculum


MODULE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this module, learners should be able to:
a) Analyze how theories of education have guided the development of nursing curriculum
b) Evaluate existing nursing curriculum and make recommendations for improvement
c) Discuss the process of curriculum development in nursing with special reference to Malawi
d) Examine the process of curriculum change and innovation with reference to nursing education
e) Design a nursing education curriculum and justify its suitability
f) Critique curriculum models and representative designs
g) Implement a continuous curriculum monitoring and evaluation program
